Welcome Back!

Our PTO board would like to welcome you back to another great school year! We are looking forward to working with you and your students as we sponsor new programs and events. This year we want to make efforts to foster better communication between the PTO board, parents, and the teachers. We have set up a blog to help keep you updated on a variety of different things. Please check it out when you can!

Last year we earned over 10,000 dollars. We sponsored several smaller things such as the laminator, teacher luncheons, class reward parties, and other miscellaneous school things as the need arose. We saved the bulk of our funds in hopes of making a large contribution to the school this next year. First we plan on spending money to improve the acoustics in the multi-purpose room. We have found the noise control in that room to be a huge complaint among staff and parents alike.

We also hope by the beginning of the next school year we will have gravel poured in between the buildings to help with mud and dust. Some other things we hope to be able to afford the school are refrigerated drinking fountains and new playground equipment. We would also appreciate any input you might have as to what our school could benefit from.

In order to accomplish these goals we really need and appreciate the support you give us in our fundraising. We are not doing the Little Caesars fundraiser this year due to the opening of the Little Caesars store in Safford. We have elected to do the Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough again this fall and have yet to decide what fundraiser we will be doing in the spring.

In lieu of our fall festival we will be combining with all the schools, including the town of Thatcher, for a large community event at the High School the day after homecoming, October 15th. We will still need, and appreciate help from you and parents to make this activity a success. This activity will still include the craft fair, silent auction, and carnival.

We appreciate all that you do! Please feel free to contact us at any time!

Thank you,

PTO
